Institutional video for Bookworm (Godhadi workshop)

Goan quilts are unique for their artistic and practical value. Thus quilt makers play an important role in preserving and handing down the traditional Goan techniques and designs. This is the reason why the workshop was organized.

Lotus Film & TV Production collaborated with Patrick Finn ….., Bookworm and Home Science college in this workshop. The purpose was to document the efforts of a group of volunteers (Needlecraft Group) to breathe new life into the Goan art of quilt making – godhadi. It is hoped that this film will bring greater awareness to Goan quilt making and inspire women to either learn or teach/mentor quilt making techniques.

The following video is a small demonstration of what we saw on that day.

Goa: Recreating Campal Creek

We asked several children to describe a clean creek. Nobody knew the answer. When we were almost giving up hope, we found one child who described us her imaginary creek. Let's save Campal Creek before it's too late.

Goa: Save Campal Creek

This is a small awareness video on a little creek in Campal, Goa. The creek has faced a severe amount of environmental degradation over the last few decades. There has been an attempt over the last year to rejuvenate the creek, and reinvent it, using it both as an economic benefit while seeking to contribute in some way to our rapidly declining environment. We hope to introduce to the possibilities of change. Enjoy the video!
