To celebrate the completion of 50 episodes for the Portuguese International Channel (RTPi) and following the current trend of our cultural policies now accented on filmmaking and relative industries, Lotus Film and TV Production in collaboration with Communicare Trust organized a workshop that aims to train youngsters and expose them to the art of film production.

A first workshop was organized last April 07, with the support of INOX and private sponsorship. Nine aspiring filmmakers aged 7 to 10 years old, made nine short animated movies of 30 seconds each in 6 days, and a group of 9 older students, aged 11 to 14, produced their first live action film (3 mins) in 2 weeks.

The results were beyond our expectations and they were presented at INOX. The chief guest of this event - Honorable Shri Digambar Kamat, the Minister of Culture at the time, encouraged us to continue its effort to disseminate and inculcate enthusiasm for “movie making” amongst our Goan youth.

Encouraged by this promising start, Lotus organized this workshop resulting in 2 documentaries of about 15min duration:

Goa Agro :- Goagro is a film documentary made by youngsters during the workshop organized by Lotus Film & TV Production. This documentary is about the importance of agriculture and how to avoid fertilizers.
