Workshops 2014

In September Nalini Elvino de Sousa and John Lino had a two day session at St. Francis Xavier college (Mapusa) with the first and second year students. Nalini Elvino de Sousa spoke about scriptwriting: the differences between concept, treatment and scrip; scrip formats ending with a pitching session as a practical exercise.

The students were divided in groups and asked to choose a movie that they liked. They had to pretend the movie had not been released and convince the audience that they should watch it.

In the second part of the session Nalini spoke about the 3 stages in making documentaries namely pre-production, production and post-production. The last 1 hour John Lino had a practical session with the students who tried to interview some of the colleagues. During the practical exercise it was empathized the importance of light, sound and image.
