Sigmund de Souza was born in Zanzibar island. Son of Goan parents who migrated to Tanzania, returned to Goa when he was very young. He didn’t know a word of Portuguese, but through music, he learnt to sing in Portuguese. Today he plays “live”, every weekend, in various cafes and restaurants in Goa.
