Between 2008 and 2022, Nuno Lopes visited Goa several times. What began as research for his master’s degree eventually evolved into several years of work, culminating in the book “O património defensivo de Goa 1510-1660″ The Defensive Heritage of Goa 1510-1660”. This work is the result of the author’s doctoral thesis. As a way to reach readers in Goa, Nuno Lopes, through the Goan publisher Goa 1556, launched a reissue of the book in English at the Camões Portuguese Language Center: “Heritage of Defense: Goa 1510-1660.”
