The Camões Center for Portuguese Language in Goa has played a fundamental role in promoting the reading of Portuguese authors, not only among students in the Portuguese department at the University of Goa but also among the general public, through its library in Panjim. The recent exhibition aimed not only to celebrate the centenary of the writer José Saramago in Portuguese literature but also to present his work in various languages, including Portuguese, Hindi, and Malayalam, thus highlighting the linguistic and cultural diversity of India.
