Synopsis

Vasco Silveira, born in Angola to Goan parents, was on an unexpected journey when he returned to Goa to accompany his parents after a brief stay in Portugal. What was supposed to be just a vacation turned into a meaningful life. In Goa, he found love and established roots, culminating in opening the restaurant “A Ferradura.” Contrary to the trend of offering a variety of cuisines, Vasco chose to exclusively focus on Portuguese and Goan cuisine in his establishment. At the heart of his restaurant is a commitment to preserving culinary traditions, a practice that goes beyond mere food preparation. Personally responsible for each dish, Vasco considers it a matter of honor to replicate the authentic flavors of his grandparent’s and in-laws’ home cooking. A Ferradura is not just a place to savor delicious dishes; it is a testament to Vasco’s dedication to keeping the essence of home-cooked food alive, authentic to recipes passed down through generations. In his restaurant, each meal is a nostalgic journey, a celebration of flavors that tell stories of family and culinary traditions handed down over time
